Grandfather’s Journey was written by Allen Say and signed in ASL by Andy Tao (storyteller). Allen Say received the Caldecott Medal award in 1994. The ASL video production was led by Asian Signer Team, Lee Ann Tang (ASL consultant), and Nozomi Tomita (Video editor).
Allen say tells the story of his grandfather’s journey to America as well as his life in the United States and Japan. For ages 4-8.
