ASL Storytelling Series: Lupita’s First Dance (El Primer Balle de Lupita)

Angelica Medina-Boersma, Client Services Specialist for Merced Outreach signs the story, “Lupita’s First Dance (El Primer Balle de Lupita), in ASL. The book that is featured is both in ASL and in Spanish. The film was produced by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Service Center (DHHSC) of Fresno, California.

Lupita is excited about dancing la raspa, a Mexican folk dance, with her first-grade class at a celebration of Children’s Day. She was devastated to learn that her partner, Ernesto sprained his ankle.
