Sunshine 2.0 is a professional touring theater troupe affiliated with the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). The ensemble offers performances and workshops that integrate themes from science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM), as well as topics pertinent to the Deaf experience. Their productions, accessible to both deaf and hearing audiences, employ a blend of American Sign Language and spoken English, showcasing the unique qualities of Deaf theater. Through innovative approaches to theater and dance, Sunshine 2.0 aims to educate and entertain diverse audiences, fostering a deeper understanding of Deaf culture and the performing arts.
