We are excited to share that the Maryland Governor’s Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Telecommunications Access of Maryland, and the Deaf Culture Digital Library will be hosting a summit during Deaf Awareness Month in September. This year’s theme is Communication Accessibility.  This summit will bring together the deaf community and allies to explore topics and foster discussion around topics that impact the deaf community at large.

The summit will include a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Next Generation 911
  • Modern and emerging technologies
  • ASL interpreting
  • Accessibility features in modern-day devices
  • Best practices in digital communication accessibility
