In 1986\, Ms. Matlin received the Academy Award for Best Actress for her fi lm debut in Children of a Lesser God. In 2022\, her film CODA won three Academy Awards\, including Best Picture. Ms. Matlin has also written three children’s novels\, as well as her New York Times best- selling autobiography\, I’LL SCREAM LATER. In 2025\, the documentary MARLEE MATLIN: NOT ALONE ANYMORE premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
