Phil Bravin was on the university’s board of trustees and couldn’t share his perspective until meeting all requirements. Now\, he can share this “missing” history in this memoir. \nAttendees will:\nGain a new perspective on the Deaf President Now movement from inside the board room in 1988. \nBe exposed to the cultural and historical contexts that triggered the protest. \nRecognize the power\, access\, community\, and enduring legacy of a movement that inspired Deaf people worldwide. \nLearn and apply the powerful leadership skills needed to make a difference for others. \nBonus: books can be purchased and signed by the author. \nEvent presented in American Sign Language. \nThis program and its parent organization are not sponsored by\, affiliated with\, nor endorsed by the Maryland School for the Deaf. \nThis event is being funded by Federal Award #SLFRP1623 awarded to Frederick County\, Maryland by the U.S. Department of Treasury. \nRSVP is not required\, but encouraged.
